Chris O'Callaghan

Glanmire’s O’Callaghan (63) and his wife own most of Cork-headquartered fuel importer and distributor Inver Energy, which has a 50pc stake in the Foynes oil terminal — Ireland’s largest new terminal — as well as a major terminal in Cardiff.

Sales rose 5pc to €608m but traditionally fuel is a low margin business. Just before Christmas Inver inked a new €130m financing deal with Barclays and BNP.
