QUINN Insurance is hoping to raise more than €8.5m by selling off its newly-vacated Navan offices, sources confirmed last night. The news comes after the last Quinn Insurance staff transferred from Navan to Blanchardstown and Cavan last week.
Launched in 2006, the Navan site originally promised up to 700 jobs to support Quinn Insurance's UK division but is believed to have only housed 300 staff at its peak.
The UK business has been scaled back dramatically since Quinn Insurance went into administration in spring 2010, triggering the decision to sell the office.
Ads placed in yesterday's newspapers describe the Navan building as "finished to a very high specification throughout", "fully fitted" and "ready for immediate occupation". The site has almost 83,000 square foot of space plus 539 surface parking spaces. The sale is being managed by Ronan Webster of CBRE.
