Profits up at biomedical firm to €8m
Pre-tax profits at biomedical firm Beckman Coulter last year increased by 37pc to €8m.
Last December, the firm announced the creation of a further 70 jobs at its east Clare site to bring numbers employed to 400. New accounts show that revenues increased by 24pc, going from €142.9m to €177.43m.
The accounts show that €265,000 was paid to directors for compensation of loss of office in 2017. Liam McGregor resigned as director on August 18, 2017. Orlaith Lawlor was appointed to the board the same day. Pay to directors last year amounted to €1.26m, including €361,000 in share options.
