Professional job vacancies grow, especially in IT
THE number of professional job opportunities edged fractionally higher last month.
There was a 5pc increase in vacancies in May to 9,434 compared with April, and a 20pc jump on the same period last year, according to the latest employment monitor from consultants Morgan McKinley.
But there were 20pc fewer professionals looking for jobs.
Chief operations officer Karen O'Flaherty said: "Though modest, this increase represents the second consecutive month in 2013 of positive jobs growth."
Demand remains robust in IT for professionals with web, mobile, digital and software development experience.
