A DUBLIN public relations firm and digital ad agency have joined forces to launch a new PR venture that focuses exclusively on online communications.

Dubbed Eighty Twenty PR, the new business will advise clients on everything from social networking to interactive press releases and widget creation.

It will be run by Mary McGovern, whose company McGovern PR founded the new venture along with digital ad agency Eighty Twenty.

McGovern says that the new technology gives brands "a real chance to get noticed in a virtual world through conversations and highly creative online promotional campaigns that simply would not be possible in the real world".
