Paddy Power heads backing top 'mumtrepreneur' sisters
Paddy Power founder Stewart Kenny and several other of the bookie's execs or former execs are backing the thriving baby supplies business Clevamama.
As well as Kenny, Clevamama counts as investors Grafton chairman Michael Chadwick, ex-Paddy Power chief operations officer and incoming Betfair boss Breon Corcoran and former Paddy Power chief executive John O'Reilly. Kenny, Corcoran and O'Reilly have bought in for 3 per cent each, while Chadwick has an 11 per cent share.
Sisters and "mumtrepreneurs" Suzanne Browne and Martina Delaney started the baby products supplier in 2006. "Our target this year is to have €2.5m in sales, a 30 to 40 per cent increase on last year," Delaney says.
Its latest stockist is Argos, with the catalogue seller devoting a full page to Clevamama products.
The nursery goods are also sold by Amazon, Tesco, Boots and Mothercare.
