Owner-occupiers make their mark
Owner-occupiers have purchased a number of industrial properties in Dublin and around the country in the third quarter of the year.
In Dublin there were four deals according to a survey by CB Richard Ellis. One of these was the sale of the 1,690sqm Unit 3 at Crosslands Industrial Estate in Dublin South West through Lambert Smith Hampton for just over €1m.
Another saw a receiver sell an 8,000 sq ft unit at Pottery Road, Dun Laoghaire. A further two small units were bought in Swords.
In Dundalk, a 110,000 sq ft facility at Block D of the former Xerox property was also sold. In Shannon Industrial Estate in Clare, the former 35,000 sq ft Tyco factory at Unit 100-101 was bought by another owner-occupier.
There were 36 lettings in Dublin and 15 of these related to units with floor areas of less than 465sqm.
