ORIGIN Enterprises’s chief financial officer Brendan Fitzgerald is to leave at the end of July next year, the agri-services group announced this morning.

A statement said that he would be leaving to pursue other interests.

A search for Mr Fitzgerald’s replacement has already got underway and an appointment is expected to be made “in due course”.

Origin chairman Owen Killian said Mr Fitzgerald had played a “pivotal role” in the development of the company since its listing in 2007.

“He has provided invaluable financial leadership in supporting the Group’s strategic transformation to a clearly focused business prioritising sustainable agricultural services,” he said.

“On behalf of the Board I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Brendan and to wish him well in his future endeavours.”
