Operating profits at Irish tech company Arkphire grew to €4.6m in 2018, from €2.7m the previous year.

The increase in profits was driven by sales of €90m in the 12 months to 30 June 2018, a statement from the company said.

Over the past four years turnover at the group, which currently employs more than 90 people across its various divisions, has grown to €90m from €20m.

Commenting on the performance, Jimmy Dalton, CFO at Arkphire, said the group was "pleased" by the company's improved performance, having expanded its customer based and increased turnover across each of its main activities.

"[The] growth trajectory is set to continue as we seek to ambitiously scale the business based on the business plan we have in place for the next five years," Mr Dalton said.

Established more than 40 years ago Arkphire’s customers include multinationals, Irish organisations and public sector agencies within a wide range of industries including telecommunications, finance, pharma, healthcare and energy.
