NTMA sells €500m worth of T-bills at negative rate

The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) has sold €500m worth of Treasury Bills at this morning's auction.

According to the agency, the one-year dated T-bills were sold at a yield of -0.41pc.

In March, the NTMA's T-bill auction attracted rates of -0.43pc, the cheapest rate ever struck for Irish sovereign debt at that time.

Total bids received for the short term debt amounted to €1.405bn, 2.81 times the amount on offer.
