Newspaper print circulations down in second half of 2011
NEWSPAPER circulation figures for the second half of last year show falls for most daily and Sunday titles compared to the last six months of 2010
The Irish Independent is still the leading title in the daily print market with a circulation of 131,161, down 5.3pc on the previous year.
According to the Audit Bureau of Circulation figures the Irish Times circulation dropped by 6.2pc to 96,150 and the Irish Examiner showed a 8.5pc drop to 42,083.
The Sunday World held its own with figures unchanged at 251,455.
The circulation of the Sunday Independent's suffered a slight fall of 1.4pc to 250,641. The Sunday Business Post fell 2.6pc to 44,529.
In the evening newspaper market the Evening Herald fell by 4.6pc to 62,411, while the Cork-based Evening Echo newspaper fell 12.5pc to 18,632.
