Private medical group Affidea is investing €1.5m in a new ExpressCare clinic in Santry in north Dublin.

The Santry operation is the company's third clinic in Ireland.

It already operates a facility in south Dublin, just 200 metres from Tallaght Hospital, as well as at The Elysian in Cork, under a more than €25m investment programme rolled out over the past three years.

Affieda, which already employs 300 across Ireland, will initially create ten positions at the Santry facility, with more expected to come on stream as the business grows.

The group's clinics are 'walk in' facilities that treat minor injuries and illnesses that don't require a hospital visits.
