Name of the game: Renowned Johnnie Fox's pub lifts profits
The brand name of Johnnie Fox's pub in Ireland is the main reason behind the pub's continued success here, says business manager Kaitlin McMahon.
New accounts show that the business more than doubled its profits last year to €198,086.
The profit for the pub in the Dublin mountains last year followed profits of €85,223 in 2017.
Ms McMahon said that most people believe that the pub generates its business from tourists, but 75pc of business comes from Irish people and their visiting friends and relatives.
Ms McMahon said that the business enjoyed a very strong year in spite of the impact from the 'Beast from the East' weather conditions at the start of last March.
The business employs 90.
