NAMA to outline its plans
NAMA'S intentions for unoccupied buildings and unfinished housing estates around the country will be discussed at the National Planning Conference which takes place on April 26 and 27.
The planning implications of the recent Mahon Report will also be discussed.
Chris McGarry, planning and development adviser, NAMA, will speak about how the agency seeks to unpick procedural and planning issues that arise at such developments and will comment on overall strategy for unfinished developments, including site resolution plans and the role NAMA can play.
John O'Connor, chief executive, the Housing Agency, will report on progress achieved by his agency's Unfinished Housing Developments National Co-ordinating team.
A speaker from the restructuring and insolvency department of Farrell Grant Sparks will provide insights into the financial aspects of dealing with this issue.
Environment Minister Phil Hogan will deliver the closing address at the conference, which takes place in his home town of Kilkenny.
