Morrisseys bring two pubs to the market

Two pubs, one in Waterford and one in Drogheda, are being brought to the market this week by estate agents Morrisseys.

The Drogheda pub is Domegan's The Thatch on the Donore Road on the eastern side of the M1 Motorway and it has a €450,000 guide price. Built as recently as 2008, the purpose-built two-storey over-basement licensed premises has a total floor area of 1,522sqm.

It accommodates a traditional-style public bar, and a modern lounge as well as a restaurant, an unfitted kitchen and an unfitted off-licence at ground level.

The Cove Bar in Waterford is located on the Dunmore Road and its asking price is €575,000. It is being soldas a going concern by receivers at Grant Thornton and Purcell Properties are joint agents.

Its floor area extends to 557sqm and includes a large bar area as well as a ground floor catering kitchen. Upstairs are stores, a kitchen preparation area and an office.

It stands on a 0.24 acre site with 12 parking spaces opposite the Ardkeen Shopping Centre and adjacent to Waterford General Hospital.
