Mid-market deals double to €6.2bn


TOTAL Europe-wide financial services M&As slipped 46pc to €10.9bn in Q2 but deals worth less than €1bn rose from €3bn in Q2 2009 to €6.2bn in 2010, said PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Permanent fund attracts €100m


JUST a fortnight after its launch, Permanent TSB's Interest First account has attracted more than €100m. The one-year fixed interest term account, which gives customers interest within one month rather than at the end of the year, has drawn average savings of €58,400 from 1,812.

Vodafone cuts carbon by 34pc


Vodafone Ireland has won the Chambers Ireland Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility award after cutting its carbon footprint by 34pc.
