McCreevy steps down at Barchester
Former Fianna Fail Finance Minister and EU Commissioner Charlie McCreevy, above, has stepped down from the board of Barchester Healthcare, the massive nursing home operator owned by investors including John Magnier and JP McManus.
Mr McCreevy only joined the board last year.
It is understood that Mr McCreevy has since become a board member of Grove, the Jersey company that owns the nursing home operator as well as its property business.
Barchester is seeking to refinance its bank debts. The company reported profits of €48m off increased sales of €566m last year.
