Output prices in the manufacturing sector fell for the third consecutive month in June, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office.
The monthly fall brought an overall annual 1pc decrease, compared to an annual 0.6pc decrease in May and a 0.8pc fall in April. Last month the price index for export sales fell by 0.6pc, while the index for home sales was down 1.3pc.
Overall this brought an annual 2.2pc decrease in the index for export sales, although the CSO cautions that this could be influenced by currency fluctuations.
The most significant change recorded last month was a 1.1pc increase in dairy products.
