'Kimye' holiday company profits dip
The go-to firm for agents of celebrities holidaying in Ireland last year recorded profits of €98,365.
New figures show that Adams & Butler Ltd which arranged Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's honeymoon itinerary here, enjoyed the profits as the firm's cash pile surged by €259,294 from €553,701 to €812,995.
The profits last year of €98,365 compare to profits of €200,084.
In the past, Adams & Butler has looked after the needs of the late Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Harrison Ford along with CEOs of US blue-chip companies.
At the end of October last, the Dublin-based company had accumulated profits of €487,467.
Numbers employed increased from six to eight with staff costs rising from €231,441 to €259,190.
The firm, whose largest market is the US, was established by Siobhán Byrne Learat in 2003.
The company never provides the same itinerary twice and events it has organised for clients include having lunch with a lord, shooting pheasant with an earl, or flying by helicopter to have dinner in a cave.
Directors' remuneration remained static at €54,306 last year made up of €24,000 in pay and €30,306 in pension contributions.
Often the minimum spend for clients can be €10,000 to €20,000 a week and when dealing with celebrities, the firm is required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement.
