Judith Owens has been appointed as the new CEO of Titanic Belfast, taking over the helm from Tim Husbands MBE.

The appointment at the world's leading tourist attraction will come into force on December 15 this year.

Ms Owens has filled the role as Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive at the firm since before its opening in 2012.

She has been fundamental to the success of Titanic Belfast, with front of house operations, recruitment, facilities management, learning and outreach programmes under her remit.

Ms Owens has also been instrumental in the business' commercial development, including the operation of SS Nomadic (April 2015) and the Titanic Exhibition Centre (September 2015), and the operation of signature events at the venue.

"Judith has been fundamental to our development, and has a wealth of strategic and operational knowledge," Conal Harvey, Deputy Chairman of Titanic Belfast said.

"With her stakeholder relationships and unrivalled knowledge of events and Northern Ireland’s tourism industry, she is uniquely placed to lead Titanic Belfast’s strong management team into the next phase of our company’s development."

Prior to her role at Titanic Belfast, Judith was Head of Operations and House Manager at the Waterfront & Ulster Hall for 14 years.

"Rest assured, we will continue to deliver our five star and world-class standards to visitors and clients alike," she said following her appointment announcement.
