Irish Life app lets clients check fund performance

Peter Flanagan New Technology Correspondent

IRISH Life is to roll out a new application to let clients check their fund performance from their phones.

The 'Fund Centre' application from Irish Life Corporate Business is part of what the firm calls its "commitment to development and innovation".

The pensions giant claims the app will provide an overview of a client's funds' performance, as well as a "check the price" charting tool.

In addition, users will be able to add quick access to their favourite charts, while funds can be searched by their name and their code.

Irish Life's corporate business chief executive David Harney said the app "is a really useful business tool for brokers but it is also available to members and trustees".

"The app puts information on all of the funds offered by Irish Life Corporate Business in the palm of your hand," he added.

Meanwhile payments firm Elavon has released its "Mobile Merchant" software for iOS, which follows on from its release on BlackBerry and Android.

Elavon's managing director for Europe, Guy Harris, said the software was "perfect for thousands of very small, often mobile, businesses that need an affordable and portable solution for payments".
