FromMe2You, a retail gift card service for more than 5,000 retailers, was forced to freeze its cards due to the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) temporarily suspending the licence of Wirecard Card Solutions.

The gift card, which was initially set up in 2015 by lobby group Retail Excellence, is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions, the UK-based subsidiary of scandal-hit German payment processor Wirecard. The FCA has lifted the suspension.

John Wall, managing director of FromMe2You Gift Cards, said the service was temporarily suspended without notice but was now operational.
