Looking for something to do this weekend? How about a two-day creative event set against the fabulous Dingle backdrop?

The third edition of the Ireland’s Edge, which takes place alongside the eir Other Voices Festival in the Co Kerry town, kicks off this weekend.

A jam-packed line-up of thinkers, doers, artists and creatives will gather at the Dingle Skellig Hotel on December 1 and 2 for the event.

The theme for this year's conference is Migration Nation - and Ireland’s relationship with its diaspora is set to be explored through culture and technology.

"The links between culture, innovation and the global Irish are already strong and vital, and Ireland’s Edge is a unique opportunity to have varied voices consider important issues about Ireland’s diaspora worldwide, and our future engagement with them, from different and new perspectives," Minister of State Ciaran Cannon said.

Speakers over the two days will include internationally acclaimed Irish artist, John Gerrard, Emmy nominated, multi-award winning documentary director and feature film editor Emer Reynolds and Forbes contributor and author of finance & economics blog Frances Coppola.

The conference will also be live streamed through Facebook at www.facebook.com/IrelandsEdgeHQ  . A limited amount of tickets for the event are available to the public via Eventbrite.

Ireland’s Edge is run in partnership with sponsors Intel and with the support of Nokia Bell Labs, Microsoft, IDA Ireland, The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and The Department of Culture, Heritage and The Gaeltacht.
