Internet security firm to create up to 100 new jobs in Dublin
A US internet security firm is to create 100 jobs with a new operations centre in Ireland.
Total Defense is to set up a base in Ballsbridge, Dublin, where 21 people have been recruited to date.
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton made the announcement and said the niche web security sector was one area being targeted by enterprise chiefs.
"A key part of this Government's strategy for jobs and growth is to target sectors and niches with particularly high prospects for growth," he said.
"Internet security is one such sector, and today's announcement that Total Defense, a world-leading company in this area, is joining the list of companies choosing Ireland, with the creation of 100 jobs, is great news."
The Ballsbridge hub will support Total Defense's customers across Europe. Positions will be available in sales, operations and customer support.
