International tariff reform delivers €30m revenue for An Post
Reform of inter-country mail tariffs agreed at the Universal Postal Union Congress in Switzerland will increase An Post’s revenues for parcels by €30m over the next six years.
An Post chief executive, David McRedmond said the agreement is “another step” in fixing the “core economies” of An Post.
“It follows a similar agreement achieved last year with EU countries," Mr McRedmond said.
"The team at An Post and officials from the Department of Communications have worked extremely hard to achieve a fair international settlements regime,” he added.
