Insurance firm to create 30 new jobs in Navan
Thirty jobs are to be created at a global insurance firm's Irish base, it was revealed today.
Generali PanEurope is to expand its business and open a new headquarters in Navan in a year's time.
Chief executive Paul Gillett said the company also hoped to build on the investment and increase its Irish operations even further over the next year-and-a-half.
"Generali PanEurope has grown rapidly in recent years and expects to expand further over the coming 18 months, increasing its workforce in Ireland by up to 50pc," he said.
"Ireland remains a good location from which international financial services firms can expand into Europe and beyond."
The new positions will include actuaries, technical product specialists and other skilled roles in the insurance sector.
The company already employs more than 100 people in Ireland.
