Industrial lettings activity rises 25pc
There were 26 lettings in the Dublin industrial market in the first quarter of this year amounting to 39,159sqm, as letting activity increased 25pc compared to the last quarter of 2010.
However there were no sales in Q1 2011 after a very active sales period in Q1 2010.
These are among the findings in the latest market survey from CB Richard Ellis.
Prime quoting rents came under pressure during the quarter falling again to €65 per sqm a decline of 50pc from peak. Rents for secondary properties are far lower. Lidl signed up for the largest letting, the 9,836sqm former Jacobs facility at Belgard Road, Tallaght. Fiat took the former 5,654sqm Nissan building on the Naas Road.
