Homestore and More are to take three units in Clonard Retail Park on the outskirts of Wexford Town. CBRE, who carry out acquisition work on behalf of Homestore and More, have confirmed the Irish retailer is in the course of amalgamating units 2, 3 and 4 to form a 2,096.8sqm outlet and plans to open in summer 2012.
Kehoe & Assoc. acted for the landlords. Both agents declined to comment on the rents which were negotiated with landlords of each of the units at what are believed to be almost €107 per sqm.
Neighbouring occupiers include Woodies, Joyces Electrical and Aldi.
Homestore's new outlet will bring to 12 its number of outlets around the country. The chain is also seeking new stores on both Dublin's north and south sides as well as Galway, Kinsale Road in Cork and Kildare. "The ideal store footprint is a minimum 2,000sqm on one level," says Florence Stanley of CBRE.
Last year it opened stores in Drogheda and Sligo and have added a store in The Nutgrove Centre, Rathfarnham, Co Dublin.
With a wide range of homeware at competitive prices, the retailer had a successful Christmas.
