HMV to open doors on Grafton Street over Easter weekend

HMV is to open its doors on Grafton Street this Easter with a sale extravaganza including €100 of Xbox ONe and PS4 and 40pc off all vinyl.

The store will re-open on Saturday April 19 from 8am at the old A-Wear premises.

HMV and Xtra-vision owner Hilco Capital also said there will also be other one day only deals across movie, music, games and technology including Blu-ray players for €9.99.

The opening will also feature live performances by some of Ireland’s top acts, as well as live sets by Ministry of Sound DJs.

The opening of HMV Grafton Street brings the total number of HMV stores in Ireland to eight, with stores already open at Henry Street, Dundrum Towncentre and Liffey Valley in Dublin; Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick, at the Quays Shopping Centre in Newry and Donegall Arcade in Belfast.

As well as Grafton Street, a new HMV store will open in Galway’s Edward Square inthe near future.

In addition, 46 dual branded Xtra-vision and HMV stores opened around the country in 2013 and early 2014, with a further 6 locations opening in the near future.
