Health sector growth in the capital

Dublin will gain close to 100 health sector jobs. Specialty pharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt is investing €10m in a research and development facility at its new offices in College Business and Technology Park in Blanchardstown. It will house global device engineering for the company and bring 40 new jobs to the site.

Meanwhile, Irish software company Oneview Healthcare says it plans to add 50 new staff in Dublin and a further 50 abroad this year, following the signing of multiple contracts with US hospital groups.
