Glanbia reports revenues of €3.5bn, up 6.9pc in 2014

NUTRITION and ingredients group Glanbia has announced a 6.9pc hike in revenues to €3.5bn.

Strong results in its global performance nutrition business drive a 26pc increase in earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation (EBITDA) and amortisation.

Group earnings were €245m, an 8pc increase with an EBITDA margin of just over 10pc.

The company said strategic investments in capital expenditure and acquisitions totaled €222m.

Commenting today Siobhán Talbot, group managing director, said: "Our focus on two scale growth platforms, global performance nutrition and global ingredients, continues to drive earnings as we leverage our market leadership and sector expertise.

"The outlook for 2015 is positive and we are guiding 9pc to 11pc growth in adjusted earnings per share, constant currency. We continue to successfully execute our growth strategy and this positions Glanbia well for the delivery of our objectives from 2015 to 2018."
