Freund to create Euro hub in Tullamore
Taoiseach Brian Cowen has announced that Japanese pharmaceutical equipment company, Freund Corporation, is to establish a European base in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, creating 25 jobs over five years.
Today’s announcement will see the company create 25 high-skilled positions in drug delivery development and clinical trial manufacturing, as well as marketing and sales of pharmaceutical equipment and excipients.
Freund is the leading pharmaceutical equipment supplier in Japan, employing 304 people in Japan and the US.
Making the announcement, the Taoiseach said: “This investment is great news for Ireland and the midlands region in particular. It is Freund Corporation’s first investment in Europe and further reinforces Ireland’s profile as a leading location for pharmaceutical companies."
