FINANCIAL services firm Acorn Life is to create 200 new jobs with half of the positions to be filled this year.

The company opened new offices in Sligo and Dublin's Leopardstown business park in Dublin last year.

Acorn said it created 75 jobs last year and it is now recruiting 125 roles in IT, financial advisory and marketing roles.

Acorn Life sales director Keith Butler said: “Last year was a very successful one for Acorn Life – with business levels up 50pc.

“There are thousands of people searching for new opportunities in Ireland at the moment and many of them will have the range of core competencies needed to carve out a successful career in financial services – with a little help.

“Whether someone has already had a successful career in financial services or someone would like to take a new direction in their career Acorn Life may well have the employment opportunity that’s an exact fit for them.”
