Leading executive Catherine Duffy, senior vice-president of Limerick-based Northern Trust, has been recognised as the '2019 FDI Hero' at the second annual Invest in Ireland awards night.

The event aims to recognise excellence in the inward foreign direct investment (FDI) sector in Ireland by celebrating the impact of businesses on the economic, social, environmental and cultural life of the country.

Awards were presented to winners across eight categories, including R&D, regional investment, staff upskilling, CSR, diversity, sustainability and emerging investment.
