Exports fall in July as imports remain unchanged

July exports fell by 10pc in July to €7bn, dragged down by a fall in chemicals.

Imports were relatively unchanged at just under €3.6bn.



Seasonally adjusted exports were down 12pc from June, while imports increased by 3pc.



Exports rose by 7pc in the first half of the year to €47.1bn with medical and pharmaceuticals up 14pc followed by chemicals at 13pc.
