Food-to-go group Greencore has appointed Emma Hynes as director and chief financial officer. She will take over the role on May 19.
Ms Hynes has held a number of senior finance roles during her career, including most recently as CFO of Press Up Entertainment Group.
Before joining Press Up last year, she spent over 11 years with Greencore in a variety of finance roles.
Her most recent role at Greencore was group finance director, where she was responsible for financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financing and capital management, treasury, tax, strategic finance projects, and corporate activity.
The appointment follows the announcement last month of Eoin Tonge's departure from the group.
"We are delighted that Emma is returning to Greencore having gained invaluable experience with an external company," said Patrick Coveney, CEO of Greencore.
"Emma was an outstanding finance leader during her tenure with us and has an in-depth knowledge of both the group and the food and beverage sector."
Ms Hynes holds an MBA from Dublin City University and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ireland.
Last week Greencore said it is trading "broadly in line with expectations" five months into its financial year.
However, due to disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the group has experienced a "pronounced change" in demand across its product mix.
Its longer-shelf-life products have performed strongly, according to analysts.
