Accumulated profits at the design firm owned by Irish fashion designer Paul Costelloe last year topped the €1.189m mark.

New accounts filed by Paul Costelloe Design Management Ltd show that the company's profit after tax and dividends totalled €182,173 for the 12 months to the end of August last.

This followed profits after tax and dividends of €458,033 in 2017 and of €236,649 in 2016.

The company's cash pile decreased from €1.348m to €1.297m.

Pay to the firm's three directors, Mr Costelloe, Ann Costelloe and Gerald Mescal decreased from €581,329 to €365,534. The company employs six and staff costs, including directors' pay, totalled €587,275.
