Deadline looms for US visa applications
Those wishing to apply for a US visa this summer should do so promptly. The US Embassy in Dublin (right) is rolling out a "new and improved appointment system" that will affect visa interviews in the short term.
Most travellers with Irish passports flying to the US for business of pleasure can stay for 90 days without a visa but will need documentation for longer periods than that.
As those who have applied for a US visa will know, all visa applications involve an interview. Those wishing to arrange one before August 6, must apply to the Embassy by the close of business today.
Information on how to apply is available at http://dublin.usembassy.gov/how_to_apply.html.
