Datalex on target for earnings of 15-20pc

Irish software firm Datalex has said that it expects to achieve earnings growth of between 15pc and 20pc for the full year.

The company - whose software helps airlines to boost revenue from their booking platforms – said that it is continuing to make progress on its deployment at the Lufthansa Group and is on track to begin generating platform revenue in 2018.

In a statement released today, Datalex said that its pipeline continues to strengthen in all geographies and it expects a number of new signings "in the coming months".

During the period from 1 July to today, the company also agreed an extension of its contract with JetBlue Airways to the end of 2022, which Datalex said reflected the success of the partnership and the value delivered.

Elsewhere the company will complete the development of its online travel agent platform by end of this year, with the first go-live of this solution expected early in 2018. This new to market offering will open up a new market opportunity for the company.

The group’s relationships with partners like Neusoft and IBM, which efficiently scale up Datalex’s market reach, continue to see investment.

Other clients of the group, which has offices in Europe, the US, and China, include Aer Lingus, Air China, Air Malta, HP Enterprise Services, and Virgin Australia.

Last year Datalex generated adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of $12.2m, which was 18pc ahead of the 2015 figure.
