CRH eyes Tarmac's assets in the UK
CRH is eyeing up Tarmac assets which may be sold after British regulators ruled that parts of the business must be sold following Tarmac owner Anglo American's $2.5bn (€1.93bn) deal with rival Lafarge.
"Obviously we look at everything that comes on the block in the sector," CRH boss Myles Lee (above) told investors.
"We will have a look at it but I think, as I've said before, we don't have any particular synergies in this particular sector in the UK. I suppose we just have to see what sorts of valuations and pricing is applied to these particular assets."
