Cream of the crop rises to top for Dairy Board Forde
AARON Forde has been elected as the new chairman of the Irish Dairy Board, the country's largest exporter of dairy products, following the resignation of Vincent Buckley.
The Cavan man has been chief executive of Aurivo Co-Op since 2003. Kevin Kiersey has also been elected as vice-chairman of the board, succeeding Jackie Cahill. Kevin is also chairman of the Irish Farmers' Association National Dairy Committee.
The Irish Dairy Board, which owns the Kerrygold brand, has annual sales of over €2bn. Headquartered in Dublin, the business employs some 3,100 people globally.
