Convention Centre set for record year
The company that operates the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) is on course for its most profitable year since opening in 2010. CCD has reported an operating profit of €4.9m for 2017, and said this year is set to be its most profitable ever. That's despite a drop in turnover from €23.6m in 2016 to €22.9m in 2017.
Turnover has risen significantly during 2018, the company said. Operating profit for 2017 was €4.9m.
Net debt is down from €92m to €72m from 2016 to 2017. The CCD building itself is owned by the Office of Public Works, and operates under a 25-year licence agreement. Events last year including the Alltech International Craft Brews and Food Fair with over 4,000 delegates.
