Construction activity rises slightly in September
Construction activity rose slightly in September, however activity was uneven across the various sectors of the industry.
The Construction Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to a mark of 56.5 in September, from a mark of 55.1 in August, according to the latest PMI from Ulster Bank.
Any mark above 50 is deemed growth.

September’s figures mark 49 straight months of increased activity in this sector.
Growth in building activity in the commercial sector was particularly strong in September.
And while activity in the housing sector continued to grow, growth increased at a slower pace than was recorded in August.
