Casey won't comment on who he has any access or interactions with, past or present, but he does acknowledge "the incredible crossover of technology and fashion and entertainment" that's going on in hardware development.
The big thing that many people are now looking at is wearables.
"In the whole wearable technology space we talk to fashion companies very frequently now," says Casey. "Because at the end of the day if you want somebody to wear something it has to have some sort of fashion element to it."
PCH is backing smartwatch maker Metawatch, a perfect example of what Casey is talking about. It's introducing a new line of high-fashion products conceived by design guru Frank Nuovo.
And PCH is working with start-up companies that explore developing clothing with sensors attached. Sensor technology can track health and fitness, and measure heart rate.
