State-owned forestry company Coillte is seeking to raise up to €60m by selling the network of mobile phone masts in its forests.

The Irish Times reported that the money would be used for investment in wind farms and Coillte's wood products business Smart Ply.

Goodbody Corporate Finance has been asked to find a buyer.

Coillte yesterday announced that Fergal Leamy will take over as chief executive in April.

Apple's new data centre in Galway will be built on land sold by Coillte to the IDA.
