Cloud computing firm creates 125 new jobs in Dublin reporters

A cloud computing company will create 125 jobs in Dublin over the next three years, it was announced today.

The US-based, Marketo, which specialises in revenue-performance management, has already started recruiting for sales, marketing, development, support, consulting and back office positions.

President and CEO, Phil Fernandez said Ireland was chosen because they needed a 'European hub with a large talent pool of skilled people'.

Marketo is one of the fastest growing cloud computing companies in the world, based in Silicon Valley, in California. It had sales growth last year of 300%.

The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, described the jobs as a great confidence boost for cloud computing in Ireland - an industry which one report predicted could be worth €9.5bn by 2014.
