Charity slashes price of city centre premises

The Cheshire Homes have reduced the asking price by 50pc for its premises at 20/ 21 Herbert St, just off Baggot St in Dublin 2.

Originally it was asking €4.5m and had agreed a sale at a price north of €3m. However, after that deal fell through the charity, which provides services to people with both physical and neurological conditions , has reduced its asking price and agents Savills are asking €2.25m.

Interlinked, the two properties include 20 Herbert St, a freehold, four-storey over-basement building with a gross floor area of 346sqm, together with a two-storey mews fronting Herbert Lane, to the rear comprising two one-bedroom apartments. The adjoining 21 Herbert St has 10 years remaining on its long lease and comprises a gross area of 524sqm with an impressive bay window and a modern single-storey extension to the side and rear of 226sqm.
