CER chairman leaving post
THE chairman of the Commission for Energy Regulation is leaving his job to move to the British equivalent.
Dermot Nolan has been named as the new chief executive of London-based Ofgem.
Energy Minister Pat Rabbitte appointed Mr Nolan as CER chairman in 2011 to replace Michael Tutty. Dermot Nolan studied economics at Yale University before lecturing in the University of London for five years. He returned to Ireland in 2001, working for the Competition Authority.
