Castle costs: Profits hit by major refurb at Killiney hotel
A major refurbishment programme at the four-star Fitzpatrick's Castle hotel hit profits at the luxury establishment, according to newly filed accounts.
The 18th-century hotel in up-market Killiney, Dublin is controlled by Eithne Scott-Lennon and her brother, the well-known hotelier, John Fitzpatrick who also runs two very profitable Fitzpatrick hotels in New York City.

Accounts for the firm that operates the 113-bedroom hotel show that pre-tax profits last year fell by €3,244 to €366,271 as the group recorded a 5pc increase in revenues to €7.77m.
The late Paddy and Eithne Fitzpatrick took over the building in the 1970s.
