Bookings jump 21pc at Hostelworld
Bookings at Irish accommodation company Hostelworld grew by 21pc in the second half of last year while they rose by 17pc on a full-year basis.
In a pre-close trading update released to the Irish Stock Exchange yesterday, the company said that it was pleased by its cost-per-click and cost-per-booking.
The Irish firm also reported a significant increase in its mobile business, saying that 40pc of its bookings were made by mobile.
The increased focus on Hostelworld as the primary brand and the ongoing integration of the Hostelbookers technology platform has resulted in a continued reduction in bookings at Hostelbookers, which is part of its group.
